Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled (CORD) is one of 11 centers for independent living in Massachusetts and serves as the Cape and Islands center for independent living. We have been aggressively working since 1984 to advance the independence, productivity and integration of people with disabilities into mainstream society. We provide advocacy, skills training, information and referral services and peer support to anyone with a disability. There is no fee for services, no income or other guidelines to become a consumer. CORD offers a wide variety of products and services and works collaboratively with other organizations to further the goals of our consumers. We are a consumer driven organization and offer memberships as well as sponsorship and donor programs. We collaborate with Elder Services through the Aging and Disability Resource Consortium. Call CORD today for information and to learn about our programs.
